Journal

After you complete each of the lessons in this module, you will be asked to reflect on what you have learned in a journal. You will be given a few questions to help get your thought process started but do not feel as though you have to answer these questions. If the lesson sparks any other thoughts and ideas in your mind, by all means use them as a basis for your reflection instead! Our intention is not to tell you how to think but to give you a foundation for constructing knowledge.

Your journal should become your private place for expressing all of your inner thoughts and feelings. Through journaling, it is intended that you will develop a better understanding of who you are and who you want to become. When you journal, clear your mind and relax. Allow your thoughts and emotions to flow freely. Do not censor yourself as you write by worrying about grammar or punctuation errors. Put every thought that comes into your mind onto the page regardless of whether or not it is complete.

Your journal does not neccessarily have to be made up entirely of words. If you are more confortable expressing yourself by drawing pictures, playing or writing music, or dancing; by all means, do that instead!
